I think you just offended every woman over 40 who doesn't recognize sarcasm when she sees it... not that I get (m)any visitors from that demographic on a site like this. Oh well, if they can't figure out why a joke is funny because it isn't funny then the joke's on them. People are an endless source of inspiration and frustration for me. I like to pay extra special attention to qualities that are so amazing they make me proud to be human, and also those qualities that are so embarrassing I want to run screaming into the wild ne'er to return. Guess which one this is? And the problem with the local golf course has nothing to do with calculating statistics. It's just that the deck's stacked against you: baskets behind trees, baskets under trees, baskets surrounded by trees, baskets inside of trees, baskets next to the road, baskets on the steepest slopes... It wouldn't surprise me at all if they Battletoadsed up the entire park and the next time we go there we'd have to jump from one giant moving snake to another over spike-filled pits to reach the baskets as lightning-quick wheels chase us down and volcanoes spew fire through the air and then there are lasers and walls appearing out of nowhere just to kill anyone who happens to have made it that far by some miracle. In fact, I hope they do, because THAT would be easier than trying to find a safe path through all those trees! And yes, it is %100 asking too much for people to be open and honest with each other, at least in this day and age, and ESPECIALLY in L.A. Man, it's hard to believe people actually operate this way; I have my share of shortcomings as a person and my life's not all that I want it to be, but I at least realize that I'm the one responsible for my actions and the consequences of said actions, and I generally don't have to keep asking myself "Why is this happening to me/why is so-and-so treating me this way?" Have fun with your "relationships", lady. By the way, that whole "Gambler's Fallacy" thing pretty much exactly describes how my discgolf games go.
